Wines from Queretaro to celebrate Day of the Dead

The Day of the Dead in Mexico is celebrated every year on November 2 and is undoubtedly the most iconic tradition in our country.

The purpose is to honor all our loved ones who are no longer with us, through the creation of altars dedicated to them where offerings and the photo of the deceased person are placed in the belief that their soul will return to visit us during that day.

Having said that, here are three suggestions of Mexican wines from Querétaro, which will undoubtedly be a temptation for our loved ones to come and visit us on the Day of the Dead for these delicious offerings:

1. VINALTURE

View: straw yellow, clean and bright.

Nose: Citrus and tropical fruits such as tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, ripe green apple peel, green melon and white peach. Herbal.

Palate: Dry, fresh and delicate. Subtle acidity.

Ideal for: Alone, or with fish and pasta with creamy sauces, creams, fig or dried fruit salad, lemon pie.

Viognier 100% (dry white wine)

“The ideal companion to Asian food.”

Appearance: Pale yellow with greenish reflections.

Nose: Aromatic. Tropical fruits, pineapple, peach, mango, orange, flowers, honey.

Palate: Light, smooth, elegant and delicate acidity.

Ideal for: Solo, white meats, Asian food, empanadas, tamal de rajas, salad with garapiñada nuts, ceviches with mango.
