The guide Vinit\u00e1cora: Wines and Wineries of Baja California<\/em> has been awarded first place worldwide<\/strong> in the Wine Guides<\/strong> category during the Gourmand Awards 2025<\/strong> awards ceremony, held at the Estoril Convention Center<\/strong>, a few kilometers from Lisbon.<\/p>\n

The book, co-written by Lorena Hern\u00e1ndez (Vionda)<\/strong> and Fabi\u00e1n J\u00e1uregui<\/strong>, was recognized among publications from more than 60 countries for its editorial quality, design and comprehensive approach to promoting Mexican wine and its wine regions.
In the same category, Vinit\u00e1cora<\/em> beat guides from Sweden (2nd place), Austria (3rd), Brazil (4th)<\/strong> and Canada (5th).<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the first place, Vinit\u00e1cora<\/em> was recognized as a finalist in the special selection for the 30th anniversary of<\/strong> the Gourmand Awards, a distinction reserved for the most influential books of the last three decades.<\/p>\n

During the three-day event, the authors offered Mexican wine tastings<\/strong> to international attendees, reinforcing Mexico’s positioning as a world-class wine tourism destination.<\/p>\n
